Kindness brings comfort to our lives. Even the smallest acts of kindness have a way of rippling into so much more. Kindness is at the heart of cooking and the heart of making life better. In little acts of kindness our lives are given much joy.
“Be Kind and Compassionate to one another ... Ephesians 4:32”

The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention.
Jesus said, “... in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you ...”

Who is that woman spoken of in Proverbs chapter 31 ...?
That woman is quite a busy woman. We’re told she is worth more than rubies! (v.10) (Rubies are the world’s most valued and scarcest of all gemstones) In regard to her relationship to her husband, she is loyal, respectful and trustworthy. (v.11) Her long term dedication mission is to do him good, not harm, all of the days of her life. (v.12)
She is an eager worker and has an enterprising spirit. (v.13,14) Her life is disciplined, getting up before dawn to provide for her family. (v.15) Managing her home and knowing everyone’s schedule gives her confidence in her planning. (v.21,27)
One could describe her as a resourceful and creative professional in her dealings in the marketplace. (v.16,24) She is successful in business, eager and industrious.
Hospitality is practiced to the poor and needy. She volunteers and gives a helping hand when needed. (v.20) She is wise, and her advice can be trusted. People come to her with confidence, knowing that she will give them sound counsel. (v.26)
The reward for her faithful service will be her children calling her blessed and her husband praising her. (v.28-31)
* Her strength and dignity do not come from her amazing achievements. They are a result of her reverence for God. In our society where physical appearance counts for so much, it may surprise us to realize that her appearance is never mentioned. Her attractiveness comes entirely from her character. The woman described in this chapter has outstanding abilities. Her family’s social position is high. In fact, she may not be one woman at all - she may be a composite portrait of ideal womanhood. Do not see her as a model to imitate in every detail; your days are not long enough to do everything she does! See her instead as an inspiration to be all you can be. We can’t be just like her, but we can learn from her industry, integrity, and resourcefulness.
